Background

The tripeptide GHK was first isolated from human plasma by Loren Pickart in 1973. It binds copper(II) with high affinity through its histidine and glycine residues, and the resulting copper complex, GHK-Cu, is the form most widely studied in the laboratory.

Storage and handling

Store sealed vials at −20 °C, protected from light and moisture. Let a vial reach room temperature before opening so condensation doesn't form on the powder. Use standard laboratory PPE and dispose of material as chemical waste under local rules.
